90 days for partners?

"deleted, de-identified, or aggregated within 90 days" --> does this apply to data gathered by the platform as well? What is their retention policy? They will have the most identifiable data about participants and their interactions. SJ + 16:13, 25 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey SJ, the privacy terms of PheedLoop state that account information will be deleted when it is no longer necessary / upon request. Our Legal Department works with all partners to harmonize our data retention guidelines with theirs, so we will be initiating that request process to have the data deleted by 90 days. You can also request to delete your data and terminate your account with PheedLoop directly after Wikimania is over, using the contact information provided in their Privacy Policy. --ELappen (WMF) (talk) 01:08, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you kindly, Elana. I am not worried about my own data, but want people's expectations of privacy to match reality. As the number of third parties grows, it might be worth updating the privacy-policy docs. A standing practice to file requests to partners to delete the data of wikimedians by 90d seems like a big deal to me. PP supplement: only lists Zendesk. SJ + 14:59, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Multilingual? (translation)

why don't we push this page for translation? Non-native English speakers would benefit a lot IMHO. Cheers, -- Omotecho (talk) 03:21, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Terms & Conditions, PheedLoop (link bug)

@Elana Hello, it is said at Wikimania_2022_Registration_Privacy_Statement: <quote>The event will take place on PheedLoop; please read their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We put requirements in place to help ensure that these service providers protect and handle personal information with care.<unquote>

However, on PheedLoop, I clicked on the Terms&Condiitons link, which falls back to WMF page (Wikimania_2022_Registration_Privacy_Statement), not theirs. Any bug? -- Omotecho (talk) 03:29, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
