Publicly available materials

Whenever possible, materials developed by the Wikimedia Foundation should be made publicly available both as a part of our [[foundationsite:about/values/Template:Foundationsite language|commitment to transparency]] and to support the capacity building of other organizations - particularly Wikimedia movement affiliates.

Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki

Policies, procedures, and related guidelines which reflect the official position of the Wikimedia Foundation - such that editing by anyone of the materials may unintentionally change their intent - should be posted here on Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki (where editing of the materials will be limited). Materials posted on Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki should not be duplicated on either Meta-Wiki or Wikimedia Foundation Office Wiki - instead please make use of page redirects.

Materials posted on Meta-Wiki should not be duplicated on either Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki or Wikimedia Foundation Office Wiki - instead please make use of page redirects.

Generally, materials should be posted as either:

1. subpages of the relevant topic (team, project, etc.) or;
2. provided a top-level page if unrelated to a specific department, team, project, or activity.
