16 January 2013 Global Voices is a community of more than 1300 authors and translators in dozens of countries around the world that publishes reports from global citizen journalists, with an emphasis on voices that aren't ordinarily heard in major international media.
15 January 2013 Wikivoyage becomes the 12th official Wikimedia project and debuts on Wikipedia’s 12th birthday. Wikivoyage already has approximately 50,000 articles available in nine languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.
