== Former staff user pages ==

Hello Anna

As you seem to be the handling the wiki side of offboarding process: I have noticed that sometimes on ex-employees user pages (both here and in meta) it is not clear that they no longer work for WMF (typically this is flagged by adding {{tl|Former staff}} on them). I have [[Template:Welcome|gone ahead]] and added some templates to user pages where it seemed clear, but for example, according to [https://wikimediafoundation.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Staff_and_contractors&diff=110600&oldid=110599], I would think that Maria no longer works for WMF, yet her email address is still active.

It would be beneficial if adding these tags was added as a step in the offboarding procedures by HR.

Additionally, I notice that most of these people had an account created on wikimediafoundation.org but only some people had it deactivated when they left, so you may be interested in considering if it was really intended to let them keep their wikimediafoundationwiki accounts (pinging [[User:JGulingan (WMF)|JGulingan]], who seems to have been handling these).

Best regards

Hi. The "Technology" anchor at Template:Staff and contractors needs to be removed (specifically {{anchor|Technology}}). For reasons unknown, the page is now fully protected, so you'll need to make the edit.

I sent you a related e-mail about this page last Tuesday (July 7). I'm awaiting your reply. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:47, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. User:ALantz (WMF) has read "coming soon" for over a year now. :-)

Former staff user pages

Hello Anna

As you seem to be the handling the wiki side of offboarding process: I have noticed that sometimes on ex-employees user pages (both here and in meta) it is not clear that they no longer work for WMF (typically this is flagged by adding {{Former staff}} on them). I have gone ahead and added some templates to user pages where it seemed clear, but for example, according to [1], I would think that Maria no longer works for WMF, yet her email address is still active.

It would be beneficial if adding these tags was added as a step in the offboarding procedures by HR.

Additionally, I notice that most of these people had an account created on wikimediafoundation.org but only some people had it deactivated when they left, so you may be interested in considering if it was really intended to let them keep their wikimediafoundationwiki accounts (pinging JGulingan, who seems to have been handling these).

Best regards
